Aston Carter is looking to hire a billing specialist for a role open in Columbus, Ohio!!
Description
Major responsibilities: Daily processes include paying and scanning invoices reading and responding to e-mails messages or calls and keeping in contact with the team and manager as necessary. It may be necessary at times to call vendors to obtain invoices or take care of misapplied / missing payments or other issues. Data entry accuracy attention to detail and communication is critical. Under close supervision perform basic routine invoicing and administrative duties following well defined standard procedures assist with document processing assist in compiling special reports and request information from other areas assist in filing and retrieval of information in both hard copy and electronic formats answer telephone take messages and communicate via email Microsoft Outlook as necessary receive and distribute incoming and outgoing mail use keyboard computer to enter data perform calculations and/or retrieve information use 10-key calculator operate a wide variety of electronic and mechanical office equipment complete daily billing workflows usage history requests and reports and perform repetitious tasks with accuracy.
Essential Job Functions Tasks:
1 Responsible for processing up to 700 invoices each month.
2 Communication and interpersonal skills:

3. Answers phone calls clearly and with a friendly helpful tone.
4. Records messages accurately with appropriate information.

1. Answers customers' questions but knows when appropriate to refer questions or issues to others.
2. Actively learns the function of the department and each employee's responsibility to assist customers more effectively.

4 Problem solving and initiative:
1. Applies basic education and training in job responsibilities and assignments.
2. Asks questions when unsure of how to handle an assignment.
3. Demonstrates ability and initiative to handle assignments beyond the basic routine level.
Basic Qualifications:
Education requirements: High school or GED
Work Experience: At least six months' experience in utilizing administrative office procedures practices and equipment
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Physical demand level is Sedentary
1. Must possess the ability to organize data and processes and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
2. Must have good analytical and problem solving skills.
3. Must be proficient in MS Excel and 10-key calculator.
4. Must have a positive attitude and be self-motivated.
5. Must be detail oriented and accurate.
6. Must be punctual flexible and adaptable to ever changing demands and workloads.
7. Must be able to travel in order to attend meetings training and other company requirements.
8. Must be available to work overtime during excessive workload times and/or during storm restorations.
9. Must be able to handle stress and a demanding workload.
10. Must be able to see information on computer screen and use computer keyboard.
11. Must be able to hear spoken words via telephone cell phone or during individual or group meetings.
12. Must be able to sit for long periods of time min of 8 hr shifts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
