Job Title: Senior Accountant - ConsolidationsJob Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant specializing in consolidations to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for recording journal entries, reconciling complex ledger accounts, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. You will ensure that financial statements accurately reflect business changes and perform variance analyses in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
+ Record journal entries and reconcile complex ledger accounts.
+ Identify opportunities for improvements in processes or format.
+ Understand business drivers and their impact on financial results.
+ Ensure timely preparation and explanation of accounting records and variance analyses.
+ Manage large volumes of transactional level data.
+ Review work submitted by accountants, providing advice, guidance, and training.
+ Resolve issues creatively using accounting concepts and industry knowledge.
+ Establish, maintain, and coordinate accounting control procedures.
+ Produce accurate and timely ad-hoc reporting for analysis.
+ Participate in cross-departmental projects and document impacts on accounting processes.
+ Fulfill additional duties or projects as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
+ 4-7 years of relevant work experience
+ Experience in process improvement and problem solving
+ Understanding of accounting theory and current accounting issues
+ Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
+ Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
+ Strong understanding of data mining and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, SQL)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (preferred)
+ Experience in public accounting or public company environments
+ Background in communications, technology, or retail industries
+ Experience with inventory management
+ Ability to make fact-based decisions and prioritize multiple responsibilities
+ Effective collaboration and communication with all organizational levels
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office. The accounting team is based in one building on our expansive campus, which features amenities such as a full gym, cafeteria with complimentary lunch, and recreational facilities. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $73000.00 - $88000.00/yr.
