    Job Title: Carpenter Foreman

    Job Description

    Employee will work under the direct supervision of site superintendents at all times and will be regularly monitored by ownership. Job duties could include constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter's hand and power tools. Work includes both interiors and exteriors of commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings. Employees will not be operating any type of equipment or driving vehicles. Employees will not be handling money. All jobsites are uninhabited structures.

    Responsibilities

    + Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard.

    + Use carpenter's hand and power tools.

    + Perform work on interiors and exteriors of commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings.

    + Ensure all work is performed according to building codes and standard methods.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

    + Experience with drywall, rough carpentry, metal stud framing, and concrete work.

    + Knowledge of building codes, materials, practices, and principles used in carpentry.

    + Ability to read and understand technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

    + Mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.

    + Knowledge of construction equipment and tools, their uses, repair, and maintenance.

    + Ability to install materials, equipment, and products to meet specifications.

    + Planning and organizational skills to manage jobsite materials and activities.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a general contractor role focused on commercial work. The specific project involves multiple buildings, including a distribution center, mechanic/truck shop, and health clinic/pharmacy. All jobsites consist of uninhabited structures, ensuring a safe and controlled work environment. Employees are expected to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of quality in all tasks.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Crescent, Minnesota.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $35.00/hr.
