Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As one of the largest manufacturers in Wisconsin, we specialize in the production of semi-trailers. We are seeking Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on plant equipment, including welders, robots, conveyors, forklifts, and fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Perform maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.

+ Work on equipment such as welders, robots, conveyors, forklifts, and fabrication equipment.

+ Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting on switches, sensors, and fuses using a volt meter.

+ Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including hydraulics (assembly and presses).

+ Safely access and test panels for 120dc and 480v power.

+ Utilize troubleshooting skills to diagnose equipment issues and implement follow-up solutions.

+ Engage in higher-level troubleshooting and create preventative maintenance plans.

Essential Skills

+ Solid mechanical aptitude, such as experience working on cars or other mechanical maintenance.

+ Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.

+ Experience with hydraulics, assembly, and presses.

+ Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.

+ Experience working with volt meters and testing electrical components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with PLCs and 480v is a plus.

+ Familiarity with limit switches and proxes.

+ Experience with robotic equipment, such as Yaskawa and Trumpf, is desirable.

+ Knowledge of CMMS systems, such as emaintenance, is a big plus.

+ 1 year of experience with automation or robotics.

Work Environment

This is a 2nd shift position, working from 4:30 pm to 3 am, Monday through Thursday, with a $2 premium for the 2nd shift. Friday work may be available, with an expectation of 5 to 10 additional hours. The facility is very large and not climate-controlled, so it is cool in the winters and hot in the summers. The environment is loud, requiring ear plugs. The dress code includes jeans, work-appropriate t-shirts, and steel toe shoes. Contractors must have steel toe shoes on their first day to begin work. The Maintenance team consists of 44 members across five plants.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.
