    The Civilian Patrol Technician reports to the Patrol Support Supervisor. The primary functions of this position include:

     

    + Responding to calls for police service such as traffic accidents, parking complaints, barking and stray dogs

    + Recovering found property

    + Providing motorist assistance and mitigate roadway hazards.

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + 3 years of experience in police incident report preparation.

    + Ability to work shifts that may include nights and weekends.

    + Valid Driver's License with the ability to obtain an Arizona Driver's License by hire date

    + Obtain a Terminal Operator Certification within 45 days of hire date

    + Top candidates will be skilled problem-solvers with strong verbal and written communication skills. They must maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations.

     

    This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.

     

    Because of the confidential, sensitive nature of information handled, successful completion of a background investigation and polygraph examination is required. Candidates given a conditional job offer will be required to pass a psychological and medical evaluation.
