    Systems Administrator - Security Role:

    As a member of the company’s Information Technology team, the Security Systems Administrator will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, deploying and maintaining cyber security technologies that add value to our internal stakeholders and improve organizational capabilities. In addition to effective technology and process management, the job requires strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities. Candidate must have the ability to operate independently and work well in a team environment working on projects and designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect an organization's computer systems. We value individuals who dive into technology and have a thirst to learn. Most of job duties will be to lead security centric systems projects while also providing operational support and tuning of existing tools.

    Duties:

    + Provide day-to-day support on all cybersecurity request fulfillment, incident response, documentation, and follow-up

    + Assist administration of critical security centric systems and application

    + Assist the deployment of new technologies or upgrade existing capabilities focusing on security best practices

    + Serve as a liaison to facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the Infosec and Systems teams

    + Research and mitigate vulnerabilities identified by the Infosec team

    + Continuously identify, analyze, and mitigate cybersecurity risks across the organization’s servers, storage and application environment

    + Assist in managing vendor relationships to identify sustainable strategic partnerships, manage costs, and verify contractual service-level agreements are delivered

    + Create and update technical documentation to maintain an accurate system of record and provide departmental training materials for new systems and processes

    + Participate in departmental budgeting and goal setting process to lay out long-term and short-term project priorities, identify new technologies to enhance operational capabilities, and leverage vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing

    + Support changes in approved and scheduled maintenance windows (i.e. software upgrades, hardware replacement, migrations, etc.)

    Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    + Must be able to work during normal business hours and nights or weekends as needed to support on-call coverage and maintenance windows

    + Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment; with at least 2 days per week in the downtown Denver office

    + Occasional travel (5%) for onsite support, datacenter build-out/expansions, or for training as needed

    + Ability to manage concurrent projects while maintaining day-to-day operations

    + Strong interpersonal, collaborative communication, and customer-first mindset

    + Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and a strong work ethic

    + A knack for grace under pressure and a sense of urgency that puts the customer first

    + Understanding of information technology and information security practices and trends

    + Some understanding of systems and applications hardening

    + Ability to learn new cybersecurity technologies and assist with research, deployment, and tuning of new technologies

    + Understanding of Microsoft technologies (O365, AD, Entra, LAPS, DNS, Group Policy, Security Permissions)

    + Understanding of systems security patching process

    + Some understanding or security certificates

    + Some understanding or email filtering (Mimecast, Harmony)

    + Some understanding of data protection and recovery (Rubrik)

    + Some understanding of server technologies (Windows Server, Linux Server)

    + Some understanding of Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)

    + Some understanding of Storage technologies (EMC, Pure)

    + Some understanding of Server hardware technologies (Dell)

    + Some Understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, OSI Model

    + Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis in Excel and Visio

    Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred

    + Minimum 4 years of IT experience with at least 1 year of systems administration experience

    + Relevant professional certifications preferred

    Compensation:

    Compensation for this role includes a base salary between $75,000 - $90,000 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and equity, based upon individual and company performance.
