Description of Work Unit
The Department of Clinical Sciences mission is to assure the health and productivity of animals to meet societal needs through high quality educational programs for professional veterinary medical students, graduate veterinarians, and the public through a faculty and veterinary medical center of excellence, and to advance and disseminate comparative biomedical knowledge in an environment of interdisciplinary collaboration.

Position Summary
Work alongside the CSU Small Animal Internal medicine VTH service as a veterinary assistant. This position assists veterinary students, technicians, interns, and faculty with restraining canine and feline patients for exams, procedures, and sample collections. This position consists of entering charges, logging client calls, call for records, and entering prescriptions in software program. This position consists of stocking supplies for daily use and running samples to the lab. This position assist in the care of I-131 patients.
Position Minimum Qualifications
+ 1 year working in a veterinary setting.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Great attention to detail and strong communication skills
+ Able to multitask
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
+ Comfort working with dogs and cats
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
+ Ability to work at least partial shifts during school breaks (including spring, summer, and winter breaks)
