    Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled Kafka Admin with expertise in Linux and Unix to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, deploying, and administering our Confluent Cloud and Kafka platform. This role requires providing 24x7 support when on call, partnering with the architecture team to align the platform with modern practices, and assisting junior engineers. Additionally, the candidate will build automation for various platform management activities.

    Top Skills:

    + 5+ years in platform engineering and management involving Middleware technologies with a focus on Confluent Cloud and Kafka.

    + 3+ years of experience with installation, configuration, and administration of Confluent Cloud or Kafka.

    + 3+ years of experience with UNIX and LINUX operating systems, storage environments, file systems, and network protocols.

    + 3+ years of strong understanding of distributed systems using messaging platforms.

    + 2+ years of creating great documentation that enables other team members to learn and execute platform engineering and management activities.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
