Research Interventionist

The School of Nursing is seeking a casual **_Research Interventionist_** for a clinical trial of an mHealth-facilitated physical activity intervention for older adults in Maryland. The Research Interventionist will report to the Principal Investigator and work closely with the Program Manager and the study team to conduct the study interventions. The Research Interventionist will be primarily responsible for scheduling, delivering, and monitoring the personalized physical activity intervention and social engagement intervention at participants’ home.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities
+ Participate in training for all aspects of position.
+ Input physical activity and social engagement interventions related records and data management in systems such as Excel, REDCap, Access, or similar system.
+ Report irregularities or adverse events to appropriate study personnel.
+ Make referrals to support resources per study protocol.
+ Attend study-related meetings.
+ Assist with other research related activities as assigned by PI and the lead research coordinator.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Strong skills in verbal and written communications, technical writing, and note-taking and editing.
+ Knowledge of database applications (e.g., Excel, Access, Refworks)
+ Adept in effectively communicating through strong oral and writing skills.
+ Proficient in writing and editing professional letters, reports, and documents.
+ Excel in building relationships and partnerships with community stakeholders.
+ Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and able to handle multiple priorities work and meet deadlines.
+ Flexibility, organization and critical thinking skills.
+ Operate computer to access email, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software.
+ Utilize Internet to search for information.
+ Skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint).
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Certified exercise trainer.
+ Access to reliable transportation.
+ Related experience in human subject research.
+ Related experience in personal training with older adults.
