    Exciting 2 year development opportunity to work for a global leader dedicated to helping people see brilliantly. The largest device company in the world – with complementary businesses in Surgical and Vision Care - is hiring a quality control chemist to join their team!

     

    As an Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for conducting testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and formulation samples in support of production. The QC analytical chemist will have a Bachelors degree in Chemistry with experience using analytical testing instrumentation and experience with LabVantage or similar LIMS, Empower 3, or similar data acquisition systems.

     

    **Schedule:** Full time role, rotating 12 hour shifts

    **Pay:** $20-$25/hr

    Responsibilities

    + Performs in-process and final product quality analyses/inspection in compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.

    + Interprets and evaluates the analyses in terms of accuracy and precision compared against established specifications.

    + Maintain Analytical Laboratory in compliance with regulatory standards and site procedures.

    + Document and Review Analytical Data and Laboratory records accurately, in a timely manner, and completely.

    + Conduct lab investigations and special analytical projects, as assigned.

    + Complete and participate in training activities, as assigned, and to perform job responsibilities and maintain up to date analytical skill sets and practices.

    + Uses various measuring devices, testing equipment, predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to accept or reject products.

    + May work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s in related life sciences field, preferably Chemistry

    + 0-2 years of experience in analytical testing instrumentation.
