    _Our client, a leading chemical and ingredients distribution company, is looking for an Inventory Control Coordinator to join their team in Salt Lake City, Utah!_

    Summary:

    The Inventory & Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory control, streamlining warehouse operations, and supporting the flow of goods within the facility. This position is responsible for overseeing receiving and put-away processes, managing cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring all inventory-related documentation is processed accurately and timely.

     

    **Job type:** 6-month contract, possibility of extension or conversion

    **Pay rate:** $20- $23/ hr.

    **Location:** Salt Lake City, Utah

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Coordinate daily inventory flow to optimize material handling and storage efficiency.

    + Manage receiving (REC) and put-away (PUT) operations, ensuring accuracy in inbound inventory.

    + File and process freight claims for lost or damaged shipments.

    + Track and follow up on backorders, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

    + Perform and reconcile cycle counts; make appropriate adjustments to maintain accurate records.

    + Monitor and report on damaged, aged, and quarantined inventory items.

    + Process shipments with all applicable documentation and maintain up-to-date filing systems.

    + Ensure the facility meets established Key Cycle Counting Metrics.

    Qualifications:

    + Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse logistics, or supply chain operations.

    + Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.

    + Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.

    + Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.

    + Ability to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions proactively.
