Key Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, ensuring the delivery of specialized respiratory care. Your responsibilities will include:

+ Assessing, diagnosing, and implementing therapeutic interventions for the cardiopulmonary system in both pediatric and adult patients.

+ Selecting and coordinating care plans, rigorously considering the age, development level, and size of each patient.

+ Providing conscientious and effective care that facilitates health and healing.

+ Monitoring patient responses to treatments and adjusting care plans as vital to achieve efficient outcomes.

+ Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to resolve and deliver comprehensive patient care.

+ Educating patients and their families about respiratory health and treatment plans to ensure understanding and adherence.

+ Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, closely adhering to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

+ Identifying limitations and actively seeking resources or support when needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

+ A Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the state of California.

+ Associate’s degree

+ Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist, in a pediatric setting.

+ Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

+ Registered Respiratory Practitioner (RRT)

+ 1 Year of Pediatric Experience

+ Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care and outstanding attention to detail.

+ Strong ability to effectively collaborate in a team-oriented environment, with a focus on communication and interpersonal dynamics.

+ A dedication to continuous learning and professional development.

+ The ability to excel in a fast-paced, pediatric environment while maintaining a positive demeanor.

The current salary range for this position is $42.00 to $62.36/hour, plus shift differentials as applicable.

A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
