    NVH Project Performance Engineer (VMFD)

    About the Job:

    As an NVH Project Performance Engineer (VMFD), you will be responsible for ensuring optimal Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) performance in vehicle development. Your focus will be on Road Noise, Body Structure, Isolation, and Ride Comfort. You will play a crucial role in establishing NVH enablers, coordinating benchmarking and testing, monitoring vehicle performance, and resolving technical issues.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee NVH performance for Road Noise, Body Structure, Isolation, and Ride Comfort.

    + Establish NVH enablers to meet program targets.

    + Schedule and coordinate NVH benchmarking, standardized testing, and target setting.

    + Monitor vehicle performance and address NVH concerns as necessary.

    + Report status in regular management forums (e.g., VIT, Umbrella) and at each program gate.

    + Ensure the vehicle DVP is completed accurately and on time.

    + Timely root cause analysis and resolution of technical issues.

    Position Requirements (Basic Qualifications):

    + ABET accredited bachelor's degree in Engineering, or ABET equivalent.

    + Experience in Chassis/Body Structure/Mounts Design and/or Ride Comfort tuning.

    + Minimum of 1 years of NVH engineering experience.

    + Proven track record in solving technical problems.

    + Demonstrated leadership ability.

    + Organized, motivated, and adept with engineering practices.

    + Ability to direct mechanics, technicians, test, and simulation engineers.

    + Familiarity with benchmarking, standardized testing, and target setting.

    + Proficiency in NVH analysis software (e.g., LMS, Head Acoustics, B&K).

    + Ability to convey complex issues and technical data clearly.

    Position Requirements (Preferred Qualifications):

    + Advanced Engineering Degree.

    + Design for Six Sigma certification.

    + Experience in Vehicle Dynamics.

    + Knowledge or experience with 4 post shaker.

    + Experience with Multi-Body Simulation/Adams modeling.

    + NVH Transfer Path Analysis: Level 3

    + NVH Vehicle Airborne Testing: Level 3

    + NVH Vehicle Structure Borne Testing: Level 3
