    Responsibilities:

    + Develops and maintains positive, accountable relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

    + Promotes a healthy work-life balance and models safe work hours and time management.

    + Communicates safety hazards and supports a culture of safety in the workplace.

    + Applies adult learning principles to teach patients, families, students, and new staff.

    + Provides thorough patient education, supports staff development, and fosters a culture of feedback and continuous improvement.

    + Uses the nursing process and Relationship-Based Care to develop holistic care plans in partnership with patients.

    + Demonstrates critical thinking, strong communication, and advocates for patient care improvements.

    + Ensures comprehensive patient documentation and collaborates to enhance care quality and safety.

    + Models compassionate, patient-centered care, creating healing relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

    + Actively participates in professional development and shared governance to improve practice and care delivery.

    + Responds proactively to team needs and adapts to change, contributing to quality care initiatives.

    + Participates in quality improvement efforts, identifies improvement opportunities, and utilizes evidence-based practices to enhance clinical care

    + Provide age-appropriate, compassionate care based on unit-specific patient needs.

    + Prior RN experience strongly preferred

    + Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills.

    + Able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.

    + Physically able to walk, stand, lift, and position patients regularly.

    Licensure & Certifications:

    + Active RN license or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP) required.

    + BLS or CPR certification (AHA-compliant) within 30 days of hire.

    + National certification preferred.

    + Graduate nurses must pass licensure exam within 6 months of hire or 1 year of graduation
