Job Summary:
The Inventory and Planning Manager will lead the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of production planning, inventory planning, and material flow.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for recruiting, training, and leading the Production Control, Inventory, and Material Handling teams. Includes production planning, scheduling, inventory control, warehousing, and assisting in procurement activities.
+ Conducts performance evaluations of direct reports, identifies training needs, initiates professional development opportunities, and recommends effective action plans.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Develop material planning methodologies and set up analytics to manage MRP master data.
+ Establish min/max replenishment levels for all purchased material, WIP, and FG product.
+ Develop and maintain PFEP for all purchased and finished goods material.
+ Owner of production scheduling process and achieving market required lead times through SIOP leadership.
+ Champion intercompany inventory processes, transactional integrity, and inventory reporting for the overall company.
+ Lead warehouse management strategies and execution.
+ Streamline order management processes to create flow and ensure on-time delivery.
+ Other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
+ Ability to build relationships and influence across multiple functions and levels both internally and externally.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
+ Capable of handling multi-tasks while navigating complex or difficult situations as appropriate.
+ Strong working knowledge of MRP systems.
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field is required.
+ Minimum of ten years of experience in supply chain-related disciplines including material planning, warehouse management, and new product development support.
+ Experience in facilitating cross-function teams in development and execution of cost reduction strategies.
+ Experience with ERP systems (Syteline preferred).
+ Demonstrated success with manufacturing process development and implementation.
+ Training in making materials flow, pull replenishment, level scheduling, 5S, lean manufacturing.
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to talk and hear to enable effective communication.
+ Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
+ Occasional standing, walking, or stooping.
