Some of what you'll be doing:
As an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Developer/Programmer II, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, reliable, and scalable software solutions that leverage the PeopleSoft platform Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financials, as well as interface with other systems using PeopleTools technologies.
+ You will lead full lifecycle project implementations, upgrades, and customizations using understanding of requirements planning, analyzing, test strategies, translating business requests into working functional requirements, providing estimates for modification requests, technical analysis, development, testing the application, and training the business & end users.
+ You will lead and assist in data administration, modelling, and integration activities in ERP systems. You will implement business intelligence solutions to achieve data reporting and analysis goals.
+ You will implement business intelligence solutions to achieve data reporting and analysis goals. You will also assist Business Analysts in solution design requiring customizations to PeopleSoft Financials/HCM systems.
+ You will plan, analyze, and deploy patches/images (e.i. bug fixes, security fixes, and functionality enhancements) from Oracle on a regular basis. You will also conduct impact analysis, retrofit custom code, and perform unit testing.
+ You will design strategic solutions for business problems. You will also translate functional specifications into technical design/specifications for development of PeopleSoft Financials/HCM modules extensions, modifications, and integrations, including system interfaces, reports, data conversions, and custom extensions.
+ You will develop system architectures and supporting design documents. You will also work with various engineering teams to develop overall architecture and supporting documentation.
+ You will shepherd architecture through the overall design process and into implementation.
+ You will apply tax updates to PeopleSoft HCM and PeopleSoft Financials (PSFS) applications in compliance with Federal, State, and Local payroll tax rules.
+ You will work with Oracle service requests related to PeopleSoft (PS) application issues. You will also support business users by migrating setup data between different environments.
+ You will support, conduct, and coordinate unit and system integration testing as required.
+ You will lead and provide an on-call production support 24/7 for the Financials and HCM systems.
Who you are:
+ **Experienced** – You have four (4) years of experience in Information Technology.
+ **Desired** – We hope you have a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or business administration.

+ **Proficient** – You have extensive expertise in PeopleSoft 9.x Financials (AP, AR, BI, PC, GL, AM, PO) and HCM (HR, PR, BenAdmin, T&L, ePerformance, Self-Service), along with strong proficiency in PeopleTools 8.5x, including SQR, PeopleCode, App Engine, CI, IB, App Designer, BI Publisher, and SQL. You offer in-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft Architecture, enabling you to lead technical efforts, support server issues, and guide business and ICT teams.
+ **Efficient Communicator** – You have effective verbal, written, and active listening communication skills. You communicate effectively with stakeholders, business analysts, and other developers. You also have strong interpersonal skills effectively working collaboratively, cross-functionally and as part of a team.
+ **Project Management** – You possess project management and planning skills. You anticipate problems and take pre-emptive corrective action, including partnering with teammates when needed. You produce, track, and manage multiple deliverables with overlapping deadlines in a high-performing environment.
+ **Problem-Solver –** You develop complex solutions that require advanced-level proficiency in development languages and methodologies and can exercise good judgement and critical-thinking skills. You effectively act as a multi-disciplinary (full-stack) developer across multiple technologies.
What else you need to know:
+ **Work Schedule** – Your normal work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Slightly more flexible start and end times are available in this role. You may be required to work any and all assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays. You may be required to work during emergencies.
+ **Work Environment** - This work will take place in a hybrid/in-office setting at Management’s discretion.
+ **Washington State Residency Requirement** – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.
