**Pay Range:** $120,000-140,000. The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.

Responsibilities
+ **Regulatory Review and Impact Analysis:**
+ Analyze CMS laws, regulations, policies, guidance, and executive orders to identify operational impacts across CMS programs.
+ Assess and validate how new or updated regulatory requirements affect CMS business processes, IT systems, organizational roles, data standards, and governance frameworks.
+ Maintain comprehensive regulatory traceability to business and technical components.
+ **AI/ML Alignment Support:**
+ Collaborate with technical teams to extract, review, and validate regulatory data from the Federal Register.
+ Support AI/ML-related initiatives by verifying the correct mapping of AI/ML activities, programs, and capabilities to the CMS Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework.
+ Ensure AI/ML regulatory references align with CMS enterprise architecture reference models.
+ **Business Process and Systems Collaboration:**
+ Recommend updates to CMS operational procedures, systems architecture, and governance documentation based on regulatory changes and AI/ML innovation mappings.
+ Create detailed impact assessment artifacts and system alignment reports to outline impacts to CMS processes and systems.
+ **Stakeholder Engagement:**
+ Work closely with CMS business owners, EA team members, compliance offices, policy experts, and technical leads.
+ Facilitate working sessions to present findings, regulatory impacts, and AI/ML mapping verifications.
+ Provide consultation on best practices for integrating emerging technologies into CMS's compliance and operational frameworks.
+ **Documentation and Reporting:**
+ Produce clear, concise, and actionable regulatory impact assessments, AI/ML mapping verification reports, and executive briefings.
+ Provide technical team with requirements in developing dashboards, issue logs, and change recommendations for governance boards and senior leadership.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
+ **Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in public policy, Health Informatics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
+ Master’s degree preferred but not required.
+ **Experience:**
+ 5+ years of direct experience supporting CMS programs, operations, or enterprise projects.
+ Proven experience analyzing CMS-specific laws, regulations, policies, and federal healthcare governance requirements.
+ Experience with enterprise architecture programs and supporting regulatory traceability efforts, preferably within CMS.
+ **Knowledge and Skills:**
+ Strong knowledge of CMS enterprise functions (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, CCIIO, CHIP programs).
+ Expertise in regulatory analysis, business process modeling, and systems impact assessments.
+ Familiarity with interpreting data from the Federal Register and mapping it to operational or technical frameworks.
+ **Preferred but not required:**
+ Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), Federal Enterprise Architecture Certification, or ITIL are advantageous.
+ **Technical Competencies:**
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
+ **Preferred but not required:**
+ Experience with EA modeling tools (e.g., Sparx EA, Alfabet) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
+ Knowledge of enterprise architecture, frameworks, and technology architectures/standards.
+ **Soft Skills:**
+ Outstanding analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to explain complex regulatory and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
+ Highly organized with attention to detail and process orientation.
