    Job Description

    EPS Corporation is seeking an experiencedCyber Assurance/Information Security System Managerto oversee the design, implementation, and management of information security systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, cybersecurity frameworks, and risk management practices. This role requires expertise in firewall management, system assurance, and ITIL service management, with a focus on protecting sensitive information and ensuring compliance with industry security standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage and oversee the operation of information security systems, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational data.

    + Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and procedures to safeguard against potential threats.

    + Perform regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability testing to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

    + Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that security systems and services are aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

    + Manage and optimize firewalls and other security technologies, ensuring that all systems are configured to meet the highest security standards.

    + Utilize ITIL-based practices to manage incidents, service requests, and changes within the information security environment.

    + Conduct security monitoring and incident response activities, investigating potential security breaches and coordinating remediation efforts.

    + Ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and FISMA, and maintain documentation of all security-related activities.

    + Provide leadership and training to junior staff and teams, helping to develop their technical skills and security knowledge.

     

    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Security Clearance: Must possess aTop Secretclearance withSCI eligibility.

    + Certifications:

    + CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

    + ITIL Foundation Certification

    + Education:

    + B.S. in a related field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science) OR

    + 7+ years of relevant Information Security experience.

    + Experience:

    + 5+ years of relevant Information Security experience in a management or technical role OR

    + 7+ years of relevant experience with a focus on information security system management.

    + Extensive experience withfirewall technologiesand security tools for network protection.

    + Strong understanding of security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, and risk assessment.

    Additional Skills:

    + Strong hands-on experience with firewall management, network security configurations, and vulnerability assessments.

    + In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, FISMA, and others).

    + Proven ability to lead and manage information security systems and services across an organization.

    + Experience with ITIL-based service management practices, especially in incident, problem, and change management.

    + Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective mitigation strategies.

    + Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present security-related concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    + Experience with SIEM tools and other network security monitoring technologies.

     

    Ability to mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization
