    Job Description

    TheDepartment of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB)supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services including Information Technology project delivery, maintenance and support. This position is within the Agency Services area of DTMB supporting the Attorney General (AG), the Office of the Governor (GOV), Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO), and the Department of Transportation (MDOT).

     

    We are looking for a person who understands the technical solutions necessary to comply with business requirements and critical success factors which focus on achieving the goals and mission of the agency. This position has the responsibility as the manager of staff that provide database support and administration (SQL and Oracle) and the customer relationship management (CRM – Dynamics & Salesforce) supporting AG, GOV, and LEO systems.

     

    The Information Technology Manager 14 position is the first line supervisor of professional employees in the Database and CRM work area: overall responsibility for all database and CRM support and administration for Agency Services Strategic Initiatives unit supporting Attorney General, GOV, and LEO. This includes responsibility for multiple complex on-line and web-based systems.

    Position Location:

    This position is located in Lansing, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

    Signing Bonus:

    This

     

    position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $3,500. Up to $1,750 to be

     

    paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion

     

    of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to

     

    current state employees.

     

    Required Education and Experience

    Education

    Possession of a bachelor's degree with not less than 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.

    Experience

    Three years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator 12.

     

    Alternate Education and Experience

     

    Three years of experience as a computer programming supervisor or Information Technology

     

    Supervisor may be substituted for the education and experience.

    Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
