    Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with an hourly pay rate of $25.48 - $42.09 / hour. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

     

    Overview

     

    Supervise and support the Direct Warehouse Sales Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Direct Warehouse Sales division which include a combination of Accounting, Sales, Merchandising, Customer Service, and Personnel Management experience.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Supervise the day to day receiving and dissemination of transfers

    + Manage organization of back stock room and floor

    + Assist Manager in Director of Operations priorities

    + Stock shelves, portable on-demand storage (PODS), and displays

    + Understand and make decisions on credit issues, product needs, and individualized service requirements of accounts

    + Merchandise product in-store, assist customers with a sale through product knowledge

    + Familiarity with stocking shelves and merchandising product

    + Assist Manager in maintaining and nurturing strong and productive business relationships

    + Versatile duties including Sales, Merchandising, Customer Service, Accounting and Staff Management responsibilities

    + Work with the sales staff, store personnel, and customers to increase business/ store visibility

    + Perform other duties as assigned

     

    Additional Primary Responsibilities

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline

    + 5 years of experience in industry-related experience (e.g., warehouse, or liquor store work experience.)

    + Understanding of basic accounting procedures

    + Demonstrates the ability to draw conclusions and inferences from data

    + Proficiency using high mathematical concepts such as fractions, algebra, statistics, mathematical modeling, and, to some extent, calculus

    + Proficiency using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets in creating pivot tables, develop charts, and formulas

    + Wine/Industry knowledge to include a basic understanding of distribution, wine varietals, and leading spirit categories professional Certification(s)

    + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative analysis skills

    + Strong planning and organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

    Physical Demands

    + Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping

    + Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift

    + May require working at heights of 8 feet or greater

    + Additional hours may be required during October, November, and December and other peak periods

    + Must be able to frequently lift/lower, push, carry, or pull 56lbs
