The role you’ll contribute:

The Director of Security Operations oversees Security Operations in the Northeast, Southwest, or Central Regional Markets. The Director of Security Operations ensures campus security procedures and initiatives align with the goals and objectives of System Security throughout each Regional Market. Primary responsibilities include coordinating Regional Security Operations with System Security Training, Communications, Technology, and Investigations divisions. Planning, development, monitoring, and coordination of Security activities. Responsible for implementation of Security policies and procedures, response to emergent situations, and performing Security Risk Assessments. Partners with local law enforcement and other public agencies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

+ Directs and oversees the Security Department's Operations within hospitals and/or properties within one of Regional Markets.

+ Ensures synchronization and alignment with System Security operations, goals and objectives.

+ Coordinates Regional Security Operations with System Security Training, Communications, Technology, and Investigations divisions.

+ Assists the Senior Director of Security with oversight and direction of the Regional Market's Security Management System.

+ Prepares and reviews reports as required to analyze security activity and identify trends.

+ Develops and maintains metrics and measurements related to Security Department operational efficiency and quality control.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Education and Experience:

Required:

+ Bachelor's degree in business administration or relevant field (Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Information Systems, etc).

+ A minimum of 5 years of Security Management experience in the healthcare industry at a manager level or above.

+ A minimum of 7 years of experience managing Security responsibilities within Hospital Incident Command System (HICS).

+ State of Florida Class E driver's license and driving record in accordance with Florida Hospital policy.

+ Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) with the International Association for Hospital Security Safety (IAHSS).

Education and Experience Preferred:

Preferred:

+ Graduate level degree in business administration or relevant field (Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, etc)

+ Experience as a Certified Trainer or Instructor in the fields of security, law enforcement, military, or emergency management

+ Previous experience working in law enforcement, military, or emergency management
