2025 Cannon Park On-Site Athletic Field Coordinator

Join our athletics staff as a key member of the Hoffman Estates Park District team that works at the Cannon Park Softball Complex. This position will be responsible for performing various daily, cyclical, and routine facility management functions. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and passionate about fostering a welcoming environment for all park visitors. Anticipated Hiring Range: $15-$16/Hr.

Minimum Age for this position is 18

Job Specific Information:

+ Oversee daily operations of Cannon Park Softball Complex, including opening and closing procedures during softball league nights and weekend tournament play.

+ Set up ballfields for league and tournament play; prepare scoresheets and game balls for umpires.

+ Maintain field conditions by raking and dragging fields before and after game play.

+ Ensure cleanliness of concession areas, sitting/bleacher areas, restrooms, and maintenance garage, by taking out trash

+ Assist patrons and renter groups with concerns and uphold safety policies in compliance with District regulations.

+ Maintain a clean, organized work environment and perform additional duties as assigned.

Shifts:

+ 10-18 hours per week - April to October

+ Shifts vary based on facility and game schedules

+ Monday, Thursday, Friday - Evenings

+ Saturday and Sunday - Day and evening shifts available

Skills and Qualifications:

+ Minimum age of 18 is required

+ High School Graduate or GED

+ CPR and AED certification

+ Basic knowledge of tasks involved in the general upkeep of athletic grounds and fields is preferred, but not required
