    Buyer II

     

    BUYER II – O’HARA, PA

    PURPOSE

    This experienced buyer position is responsible for the coordination of schedules to meet customer requirements. This position is only assigned to a site procurement organization.

    YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Utilize SAP to release Purchase Orders for all production and service raw materials;

    + Identify and communicate system issues related to master data;

    + Request expedites and de expedites with suppliers for material shortages or overstocks;

    + Manage system alerts for material stocking level issues;

    + Interact internally with Materials Management team to communicate issues and concerns related to role;

    + Review and disposition materials requested by internal customers;

    + Maintain SAP procurement parameters for assigned area of responsibility;

    + Prepare and issue reports related to supply activities and supplier delivery performance.

    WHO YOU ARE

    Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in materials, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain;

    + Demonstrated presentation, training, and interpersonal skills;

    + Ability to influence other members of the organization to help achieve goals and increase performance;

    + Ability to build relationships and partnerships within the organization;

    + Ability to work on projects of low complexity with direction;

    + Demonstrated problem solving abilities;

    + Strong attention to detail;

    + Experience with Microsoft Office tools;

    + Ability to quickly learn new IT systems and tools.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + BA/BS degree.
