About This Opportunity
Are you a sales data scientist or machine learning sales engineer who enjoys solving real-world problems by applying cutting edge Gen AI/ML algorithms? Are you passionate about working with customers to solve their business challenges? Can you explain complex machine learning concepts in simple business terms? If the answer is “yes”, then we are looking for you!
As a Senior Sales Engineer you will become an integral part of the Federal Solutions Engineering team responsible for working with a wide range of customers and prospects across multiple industries and verticals.
You will be responsible for technical sales activities required to support attainment of new and expansion revenue for H2O.ai sales. As part of that, you will be a key technical advisor to H2O.ai customers and prospects:
+ Being a trusted advisor and go-to resource of all technical Gen AI/ML challenges during the sales process.
+ Providing machine learning expertise to help customers solve their business challenges.
+ Selling and architecting value-based AI solutions that address customer needs and leverage Cloud native technologies for scalability and efficiency.
This role is based in the DC Metro area. You will spend 75% of your time in this area so we want you to be in close proximity!
Base salary range: $180,000 - $200,000

What You Will Do
+ Be the trusted data science advisor for our prospects, customers and partners.
+ Own account-related technical items and relationships - account planning, project management, and solution design.
+ Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to a diverse audience, including: engineers, business people, partners and executives to demonstrate thought leadership. Audiences will be large and small, and interactions will be in-person and online.
+ Translate business use cases and requirements into value based technical solutions through the architecture of machine learning workflows and systems from data ingestion to model deployment.
+ Demonstrate machine learning solutions with engaging storytelling and technical accuracy.
+ Create, design, and deliver compelling presentations on complex and technical concepts.
+ Lead successful proof of values and concepts.
+ Keep track of customer projects and provide technical support for successful delivery wherever necessary.
+ Participate in classified conversations with sensitive prospects and customers.
What We Are Looking For
+ Bachelor’s or a higher degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or other quantitative disciplines and/or equivalent experience.
+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales engineering experience working in the field of Gen AI/ML, in a pre-sales customer facing role.
+ U.S. Citizen with a TS/SCI Security Clearance.
+ Strong knowledge of Python programming and familiarity with various data munging and machine learning libraries is required.
+ Consultative selling experience is an asset.
+ In depth understanding of machine learning algorithms and experience applying Gen AI/ML to solve real work problems, including deployment of end to end ML pipelines.
+ Experience with Cloud platform architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and working knowledge of Kubernetes.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Self-starter, able to work without any supervision.
+ Comfortable with travel away from the DC Metro area up to 25% (customers, conferences, etc.).
