Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

+ Review parts that have been placed on hold in all areas of the plant (wax, shell, casting, and post-cast)

+ Based on directions provided by engineering and knowledge developed on the job, determine appropriate actions to be applied to release the parts from hold status for rework, scrap, or continue processing “as is”

+ Provide manufacturing with rework instructions and guidance.

+ Perform engineering activities as assigned to provide engineering support during hours when engineers are not present.

Skills & Abilities

+ Strong oral and written communication skills. Capable of effective communication with all levels of the plant personnel.

+ Must be self-motivated, an independent thinker, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Experience in manufacturing or a technical role

+ Proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills

+ Must be available and willing to work overtime as needed

+ Must be able to provide documentation in the original form establishing both your identity and your employment eligibility in the U.S.

+ This position entails access to export-controlled items you must be able to lawfully obtain access to such items.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Some coursework towards an Engineering or Technical degree preferred.

+ Previous experience with dimensional measurement devices (calipers, CMM UT, Pincher Gauges, etc.)

+ CAD and blueprint interpretation experience.

+ Familiarity with FPI, X-ray, and Visual Inspection.
