Summary:
National Power, LLC is seeking a summer intern to join their finance department. Under the direction of and reporting to the Director of Finance, the Finance and Accounting intern will primarily be responsible for providing support and assistance to National Power's virtual warehouse system upgrade. This is a part-time temporary position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Analyze, review, and perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts with attention to detail
+ Process and manage customer invoicing for parts purchases while ensuring accuracy
+ Maintain generator service work orders and update system records to reflect accurate pricing and quantities
+ Maintain and update customer records across Microsoft Field Service and Business Central ERP systems
+ Develop comprehensive flow charts documenting finance and accounting processes
+ Research discrepancies and prepare corrective journal entries as needed
+ Support virtual warehouse system upgrades, including bar code location assignment and inventory adjustment to ensure system accuracy
+ Conduct regular warehouse cycle counts and record inventory variances in the ERP system
+ Create and maintain Microsoft Excel models for SKU profitability analysis and inventory optimization
Education/Experience/Skills:
+ Completed intermediate level finance and accounting coursework preferred
+ Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
+ Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
+ Desire to learn accounting controls and reconciliation practices
