    Hours: M-F, 8hr Days, hybrid

    **Summary** :

    + Provide system administration, network support, and related services to the faculty, staff, and students of the Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM) and its affiliates.

    + Deploy, configure, manage, patch, update and troubleshoot servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux and similar distributions.

    + Install and debug a wide range of web application software on PSOM servers, working with clients to resolve issues.

    + Automate repetitive procedures and create custom monitoring tests.

    + Participate in developing specifications, policies, procedures and standards for PSOM. Document all systems, applications, configurations, and changes

    **Responsibilities** :

    + Ability to perform administration of a UNIX / Linux system from the command line.

    + Experience with web server software, including Apache httpd and execution environments, incl. Tomcat, mod_php, php-fpm, or passenger.

    + Experience with database software, including MySQL or Oracle.

    + Familiarity with installing applications from source code.

    + Ability to write in Bash, Perl, PHP, or Python.

    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Required)

    + 3+ experience administering Linux systems (Required)
