This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously while ensuring high-quality production standards. Process engineers at our Warwick, RI location will collaborate with production teams, maintenance, and new product development to support the development and implementation of process improvements in melt-forming, heat treating, and cold working.

• Contribute to improvement of on time delivery, scrap reduction, and project implementations to improve product throughput.

How Would You Accomplish This?

• Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all Lucas Milhaupt employees.

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

• Evaluate existing production processes and recommend changes to improve productivity, quality, and safety.

• Work with the quality assurance team to establish standards, methods, and procedures for manufacturing operations.

• Implement corrective actions for quality issues and work on continuous improvement projects.

• Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability.

• Provide technical support and training to production staff.

• Drive lean and productivity improvement initiatives plant-wide through the development and implementation of new processes, equipment and processes.

• Participate in Lean activities including Kaizen events, 5S, 8D, Preventative Maintenance programs, root cause analysis, 5 Why and other Lean tools to enhance productivity.

• Assist in the transfer of new product development into production ramp-up including capital expenditures, project ownership transition and structured hand-off to manufacturing

• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Are We Looking For?

• Articulate - Your writing and communication skills must be strong in order to clearly articulate processes, needs, and programs. Engineer will regularly interface with shop floor personnel, technical peers, management and senior leadership.

• Instills Trust - Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.

• Collaborative - Ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with co-workers and embody a teamwork approach to organizational goals.

• Professional - Has personal ethics, does quality work, and has a positive can-do attitude

• Technical - Has strong technical and troubleshooting abilities in a variety of manufacturing disciplines including demonstrated expertise in a production environment. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.

• Situational Adaptability - Ability to prioritize and execute various projects in a timely manner. Ability to adjust to changing priorities to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Project Management - Ability to write detailed project plans using 3S and 5S techniques and planning in project software such as Microsoft Project.

• Educated - Possess Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
