Job Overview
The University of Dubuque is a growing faith-based University that is seeking a **Graduate Assistant in the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences (DNAS) and the Wolter Woods and Prairies (WW&P)** for the 2025-2026 term, with a potential renewal for 2026-2027.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Assist DNAS Stewardship & Sustainability Coordinator with cross-campus connections to promote environmental sustainability at UD
+ Support DNAS with recruitment and retention goals
+ Assist DNAS with departmental operations / work-study supervision
+ Collaborate with WW&P staff to develop proposals for grant funding
+ Develop written educational support documents for WW&P
+ Perform other duties as assigned in support the University's _Mission_
Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University of Dubuque Masters' program
+ High level of organization and attention to detail
+ Utilize excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office
+ Ability to work with a variety of students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community professionals
+ Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple ongoing projects at a given time
All graduate tuition is waived for the student for the term in which they serve as a GA. In return for a waiver of tuition, the assistantship recipient agrees to provide service to the University equivalent to twenty (20) hours per week. Additionally, domestic GA's have the option to participate in work-study. Although it may be within a different department from which the GA serves.
