The Plant Manager - Machinery is responsible for setting the strategy and overall orientation of the business unit and for the performance (financial and other key metrics) of the business unit. This is a management position leading and directing the management team in coordinating all activities related to management, sales, production, financials, logistics, human resources and quality. They understand and align business operations, and he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.
**JOB FUNCTIONS:** _Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:_
+ Organize and manage manufacturing operations at Crosby MN facility to support the objectives of Graphic Packaging business units and their customers.
+ Maximize the return on assets of his/her sector of activities and rigorously manage operations costs and participate in the elaboration of each division’s budget.
+ Elaborate the organization structure/chart, human resources, financial and material resources of the sector.
+ Maintain an outstanding production capacity in terms of quality and efficiency in ensuring the follow-up of objectives (5S, GEMBA, SMED etc...) put in place and give an appropriate feed-back to divisions.
+ Ensure the technological development of products and processes while managing priorities regarding investments, equipment’s, computer systems, etc.
+ Support engineering needs and product development through continuous feedback regarding customer expectations, performance issues, competitive actions and general market trends.
+ Know the business environment (network), the market (market trends in which we grow). Know its competitors, customers and main suppliers to rapidly become a credible and respected player.
+ Master the analyses of financial statements, such as income and expense statements, the balance sheet, the costing report, the cash-flow and efficiently utilize this information to optimize operations.
+ Implement, maintain and/or develop company’s values to all personnel.
+ Participate and support all Health and Safety programs, initiatives, and GMPs.
+ Liaison with customers, suppliers, other internal and external business partners and other stakeholders.
+ Manages and supervises site Leadership team under his/her responsibility.
+ Participates in developing training programs for employees in his/her department and ensures the transfer of knowledge.
+ Manage the outsourcing of all manufacturing processes, including fabrication or assembly. Develop manufacturing relationship with respective providers.
+ Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork.
+ Manage the outsourcing of all manufacturing processes, including fabrication or assembly. Develop manufacturing relationship with respective providers.
+ Manage the development and profitable growth of the PMD parts sales business.
+ Optimize Fabrication, Assembly, Stockroom, Purchasing & Production Control to ensure machines are manufactured on time and to budget.
+ Manage process & procedure improvements as well as CI & ISO Certification
+ Support and manage where appropriate the continuous development and growth of value-added services and their respective profitability, coordinating as required with other business managers.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
Applicant should have minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in packaging machinery manufacturing, including machine design and related fabrication and assembly fields, with majority of that time in operational management. Proven success, in operations and manufacturing management, with technical project management experience supporting customer requirements or technical sales being desired. Proven ability to utilize cross functional teams and to communicate at all levels internationally. Ability to influence performance within the cross function global organization is imperative.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
+ Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration/management preferred
+ Engineering or technical degree preferred, or equivalent experience
+ Compensatory closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.
+ Respects individuals, the organization, occupational health and safety, authority, and the team.
+ Strong decision-making skills
+ Ability to motivate people.
+ Good communication skills.
+ Knows and able to adhere to company safety policies and government legislation (i.e. Occupational Health and Safety Act.)
SCHEDULE DEMANDS:
+ General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment; however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
+ Quarterly travel to Atlanta, Georgia. Additional travel as needed up to 20%
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
+ Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
+ Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
+ Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
+ Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.

Pay Range:** **$126,300.00** **-** **$168,400.00

This role is incentive plan eligible. Additional information will be shared during the hiring process.
