The AI Technical Program & Project Manager contributes hands-on expertise in project and program management methodologies within the data science, machine learning and AI space. The role cross-functionally collaborates to develop and execute on roadmaps and initiatives for data science, machine learning, and generative AI. This role requires high level technical knowledge in the space of AI – including analytics, machine learning, and generative AI.
The AI Technical Program & Project Manager contributes expertise in project and program management methodologies specific to data science, machine learning, and generative AI projects, providing support and guidance to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role jointly develops roadmaps and project plans with the Head of AI, and Product, Technology, and Business leaders. The role monitors project progress, analyzes performance, and delivers insights to executive leadership while staying updated on emerging trends. In addition to strategic program management, this role involves coordinating project execution activities, including facilitating committees, building executive presentations, running working teams, and managing tactical tasks to ensure successful project delivery.
What you'll do...
+ Partners with the Head of AI to build advanced project plans, including defining project scopes, goals, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, leveraging industry benchmarks and best practices
+ Develops advanced project plans, including defining project scopes, goals, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, leveraging industry benchmarks and best practices.
+ Helps run operations for the AI organization, while building a positive culture through events both internally and externally – including team events – that may also require cross-collaboration with L&D and other functions
+ Helps define key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI success across the organization, obtain necessary data, and partner with data analysts to conduct analyses to help measure the impact of these initiatives
+ Facilitates, runs and manages committee operations – including the coordination and running of these committees, ensuring they are as lean as possible but still accomplish the goals as indicated by their charter
+ Conducts and oversee daily standups, where needed, for AI working groups collaborating closely with technical leads to identify and eliminate impediments to team progress
+ Ensure comprehensive organizational communication by maintaining up-to-date file management systems, managing team communication channels, and overseeing SharePoint resources
+ Contributes to provision of expert guidance and technical leadership on project and program management methodologies, best practices, and tools.
+ Provides strategic guidance and decision-making support to project teams, addressing complex issues, mitigating risks, and optimizing project outcomes.
+ Participates in monitoring project progress and performance, identifying key metrics and KPIs to track project health and ensures alignment with strategic objectives and performance targets.
+ Develops and delivers insightful analysis and reporting on project performance, presenting findings and recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
+ Stays abreast with innovation and continuous improvement methodologies, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices within the project management function.

Education:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management or other related discipline
Experience:
+ Minimum 10 years of related work experience with a Master’s degree or 12 years of related work experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
Work Requirements:
+ Involves occasional (defined as one-third or less of the time) lifting of no more than 10 pounds at a time.
+ Work is performed primarily in a seated position and entails no significant stooping, standing, climbing, walking, etc.
+ Many sedentary jobs require good use of the hands and fingers for repetitive hand-finger actions.
+ Working conditions occur within low to moderate noise levels related to the use of standard office or classroom equipment.
