The Industrial Reliability Technician is responsible for the proper lubrication of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and longevity. This role involves safely executing preventive maintenance lubrication tasks, oil analysis, inspections, and documentation to support a proactive maintenance strategy and reduce equipment downtime. This role will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and monitoring equipment components through predictive technologies.

Shift: 7am-3pm

Compensation: $27.60

Essential Functions

+ Perform lubrication tasks according to OEM and site-specific lubrication standards (greasing, oil changes, filter changes, etc.)

+ Inspect and monitor critical rotating and mechanical equipment for proper lubrication conditions.

+ Maintain lubrication routes and schedules using CMMS or digital route management tools.

+ Collect oil samples for analysis and assist in interpreting lab results for action planning.

+ Maintain cleanliness and contamination control in lubrication storage and handling (e.g., filters, breathers, seals).

+ Install and maintain lubrication hardware, such as desiccant breathers, sight glasses, oil level indicators, and automatic lubricators.

+ Record and report findings of equipment condition, oil sampling results, and corrective actions taken.

+ Support root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations related to lubrication or contamination issues.

+ Collaborate with maintenance and reliability teams on continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Follow all safety protocols and best practices in handling lubricants and operating around equipment.

+ Confirm and enter actual hours worked, reliability information ( Object, Cause, Damage, Remedy, & comments), and required components used into SAP for work orders.

+ Assists with the creation of job plans, PMs, and SOPs.

+ Document work changes and communicate them to the Maintenance Supervisor.

+ Inspect equipment and identify failures and prioritize the failure modes.

+ Install, monitor, and maintain continuous predictive maintenance systems such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil analysis components and software.

Advance Manufacturing

+ Develop preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to improve asset health.

+ Continuously improve the process by researching better alternatives for process application and component application.

Best Practice Maintenance

+ Develops and maintains standard operating & maintenance procedures, and work instructions.

+ Identify and coordinate the development of good practice PMs across sites to improve reliability.

+ Support Plant Maintenance Network initiatives by interacting with managers and supervisors at the plant and corporate personnel to secure appropriate resources to plan and implement projects.

+ Development and adherence to detailed maintenance tasks when necessary

Other Duties and Responsibilities

+ Assist with root cause investigations to improve MTBF

+ Maintains various department records, files, reports, and equipment ledgers.

+ Performs other related duties and responsibilities as needed and/or requested by management.

+ A High School Diploma or GED is required

+ A 2-year Technical diploma/certificate with an emphasis on Industrial Maintenance or similar programs is preferred.

+ 2 plus years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance or Lubrication roll tech is preferred
