    Job Summary

    Novant Health New Hanover Regional is seeking a skilled and compassionate ED/Acute Care Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry in an emergency department setting, with a focus on providing high-quality psychiatric evaluation and management.

    Opportunity Highlights:

    + The Inpatient Psychiatrist will be caring for approximately 8-12 patients a day

    + 7 on / 7 off schedule

    + Ability to teach Novant Health Psychiatric Residents

    Candidate Qualifications:

    + Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    + Conduct psychiatric evaluations for disposition (admission, placement discharge) and provide timely assessments for inpatients and outpatients

    + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans

    + Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions

    + Call rotation with other acute care psychiatrists

    + Two-year salary guarantee
