    Diesel Mechanic

     

    Overview

     

    You are responsible for performing diagnostics and preventive maintenance on heavy-duty diesel vehicles. Your includes repairing and maintaining vehicles for proper operability and meeting vehicle safety standards.

    Job description Responsibilities/Roles:

    + Performs scheduled and preventative maintenance to equipment, fleet vehicles, and heavy equipment.

    + Repairs equipment and directs what parts are to be ordered.

    + Maintains service/repair records.

    + Diagnoses and repairs fleet vehicle chassis and specialized vehicle back-end tank, pump and spray systems.

    + Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.

    + Time management and organizational skills, including punctuality for on-time attendance.

    + Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

    + Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

    Qualifications

    + Diesel mechanic certification.

    + Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.

    + Construction equipment experience a plus.

    + CDL a plus.

    + Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable. accommodations.

    + Basic computer skills.
