What You’ll Contribute
The Manager, Data Management is responsible for collecting, validating, visualizing, and monitoring data from across the technology organization. This person is passionate about working with data, observing data trends, and visualizing data to drive decisions.
The Manager, Data Management, can efficiently manage large data sets and generate standard visualizations. This person can analyze the effectiveness of changes, proven by data, to drive delivery and manage risk in the technology organization. This person has excellent communication skills, both in data tools and in PowerPoint for visualizations.
In addition to creating visualizations for existing metrics, this person will proactively identify metrics, collection methods, processes, and methods for new metrics.
What You'll Do
+ Use story-telling techniques to generate compelling reports and presentations, driving data findings & recommendations for decision-making.
+ Perform data collection, validation, and management tasks to ensure data quality and integrity
+ Validate current and recommend new data sources to improve technology metrics
+ Lead approach for current & new metrics to drive delivery & performance
+ Collaborate with PowerBI data engineering team and Service Management team to optimize data infrastructure and ensure efficient data processing and storage
+ Analyze data sets to identify patterns and trends
+ Develop & document standard processes for data collection and reporting
+ Support existing and identify new data visualization techniques to effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders
+ Generate new visualizations on an ad-hoc basis as requested
+ Understand existing processes and recommend improvements for process efficiency, including automation
What You Have
Minimum education, skills and experience required
+ Proficiency with data analysis and visualization using Excel, Power BI, and other data manipulation and analysis tools
+ Strong understanding of data analysis techniques
+ Understanding of metrics related to software delivery including agile team metrics, DORA metrics, incident management including mean time to restore, etc.
+ Highly skilled with data visualization tools including Excel and PowerPoint
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
+ Self-starter with attention to detail
Preferred education, skills and experience required
+ Proven skills analyzing data and generating data visualizations
+ Passion for working with data, and using data to drive process improvements
+ 5+ years’ experience in an analytics or information technology role
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analysis or a related field
Hybrid position with required in-office time.
