    General Purpose/Summary Statement:

    The Marketing Specialist 2 – Faith & Culture position plays a vital role in supporting a dynamic, fast-paced marketing team. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, flexible, and responsive—able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining clear communication across departments.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    + Strategic Marketing Execution: Support the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans for Faith & Culture initiatives (for example: RVL Discipleship, Lighthouse Voices, and Truth Rising), including writing and maintaining plans, managing schedules, coordinating tactical execution, and distributing finalized plans to key stakeholders.

    + Project & Stakeholder Management: Serve as a communication bridge between departments by maintaining regular contact with stakeholders, tracking project milestones, addressing issues promptly, and providing timely status updates to the Marketing Manager and Director. Effectively manage all tasks for projects in Aprimo and other tools as necessary to ensure timely launches of all marketing efforts.

    + Meeting Coordination & Follow-Up: Assist in planning and preparing for internal and partner meetings by creating agendas, taking notes, documenting action items, and ensuring timely follow-through on assignments. Maintain organized marketing calendars and files, gather and distribute promotional samples, and support daily operations to ensure team efficiency.

    + Digital Content & Offer Management: Manage and update public websites, landing pages, and acquisition offers with accuracy and timeliness. Track content development and ensure proper forms, tracking, and reporting are in place for all digital assets.

    + Material Review & Quality Assurance: Review promotional materials—including packaging, copy, and communications—for messaging accuracy and brand consistency, recommending edits as needed.

    + Marketing Analytics & Reporting: Monitor campaign performance using Salesforce Marketing Cloud data. Assist in developing reports that evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and tactics, and present findings to stakeholders.

    + Internal Communications & Author Relations: Support internal marketing initiatives and author relations by increasing staff awareness of ministry resources and maintaining alignment with brand and messaging standards.

    + Omni-Channel Campaign Support: Aid in the development and execution of automated, cross-channel marketing journeys that align with campaign goals and drive audience engagement.

    + Strategic Research & Optimization: Conduct SWOT analyses, persona development, and competitor research to refine marketing strategies. Participate in product road mapping and optimize digital content for SEO performance.

    Other Duties/Responsibilities:

    + May travel to conferences to represent Focus on the Family and its resources.

    + Help manage interns and volunteers as needed.

    + Share in basic administrative duties for the Faith & Culture Marketing team.

    + Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

    Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

    + Fast-paced office environment with frequent change and shifting priorities. Requires the ability to pivot quickly and manage ambiguity with confidence.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

    Character/Spiritual:

    A Christ-centered individual who demonstrates spiritual maturity and alignment with Focus on the Family’s mission, Statement of Faith, and core values. Must model humility, servant leadership, and prayerful dependence on God.

     

    Exemplifies Ephesians 5:1-2, “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us...”

     

    Pursues the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

    Knowledge/Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or Business or related experience is preferred.

    + 2-4 years of experience in advertising, marketing, or communications with proven project management skills Exposure to basic marketing principles (awareness of Story brand elements a plus).

    + Christian Media/Publishing experience preferred.

    + Computer proficiency in a variety of Windows-based software.

    + Experience in giving presentations and public communication is preferred.

    + Knowledge of digital communication tools and social media platforms.

    Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Able to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.

    + Analytical mindset with a creative approach to problem-solving. Ability to work with confidential data/information.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud).

    + Basic level of technical knowledge in creative and/or product productions process

    + Requires logic, rational thinking, and discernment, as well as systematic and creative approach to problem solving

    Stewardship Requirements:

    Ability to remain within budget assigned for projects, recognizing stewardship responsibility of donor resources

     

    Salary Range: $58,236 to $67,077/yr
