Work Performed:
The Position will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
1. Makes associates schedule/daily work assignments for laundry department
2. Inspects linen for quality assurance and discards as necessary, tracking all discards
3. Conducts pre-shift meetings daily
4. Promotes safety in the workplace
5. Inspects equipment and reports need for repair
6. Oversees Uniform Department and Seamstresses
7. Orders, inventory, issuance and maintains the uniforms for the team from the laundry (we are not to be laundering associate uniforms)
8. Keeps track of production (lbs/labor hour)
9. Shows basic knowledge about other services available within our hotel and be able to communicate those services clearly and effectively
10. Assists in Housekeeping as needed (Opening, running shifts) and other duties as assigned
11. Develops and maintains a weekly forecast of needed F&B linen with the F&B leader and work to provide these inventory needs daily
12. Issues and maintains inventory of all uniforms for the team from the laundry (we are not to be laundering associate uniforms)
13. Conducts a quarterly linen inventory using the Atrium form(s)
14. Ensures proper programming of washer formulas to maximize linen/terry cleanliness, maximize water and energy savings through smart programming and use of the Aqua Recycle unit, and program dryers in order to not overheat linen terry
15. Attends daily standups, weekly staff meeting, monthly housekeeping/engineering luncheon and participate in safety committee/housekeeping monthly meetings as well
16. Makes final decisions on hiring and termination within the laundry department
17. Responsible for carrying out all corrective actions for appropriate associates
18. Completes and manages all PFSs for the appropriate laundry associates
19. Purchases laundry supplies and chemicals in accordance with Coupa, Avendra, budget standards and complying to Ecolab as exclusive chemical company
20. Execute all AH standards for proper laundry operation
21. Schedules the daily transportation of soiled linen/terry from the hotel and return of freshly processed product to the main building each day
22. Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position
Qualifications:
Prior Experience Required:
Two years supervisor experience in Laundry or Housekeeping
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
