• Financial Reporting Analyst

    Healthfirst (NY)


    Hybrid Work Schedule

    + This consists of reporting to our 100 Church Street, NYC office 3 days per week

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Prepare, review, and deliver Healthfirst reporting of financial statements using Statutory Accounting Principles.

    + Ensure all reporting submissions are filed on time, meet the highest standards and are supported by comprehensive documentation.

    + Perform the GAAP to STAT reconciliation process and Fluctuation comparative analysis including preparing journal entries required.

    + Assist in the mapping of the State Categories of Service (COS)/Data Warehouse/General Ledger Workday interfaces to align medical costs in financial reports.

    + Assist in responses to Regulatory inquiries.

    + Ability to interpret complex financial data and identify patterns and trends.

    + Connect with other departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

    + Assist with ad hoc analysis requests from management, auditors and various departments

    + Automate the report generation and optimize the use of Workday to enhance financial reporting functions.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

    + Experience in financial reporting & analysis to include balance sheet and income statement analysis

    + Proficient in using advanced MS Excel functions to include pivots, sum-ifs, and VLOOKUP's

    + Familiarity in using SQL (creating queries, working with large datasets, & perform data analysis

    + Familiarity with any accounting system (Workday, Microsoft Dynamics AX or Globe Software Atlas)

    + Experience with creating and updating PowerPoint presentations

    + Knowledge in Statutory Accounting and Reporting principles
