• Remedy Engineer

    Job Description

    - Our client is a telecommunications company looking for a Remedy Engineer to join their outage management team. The team has two instances of Remedy one is an out of the box solution that manages CRQs, incidents, and work orders, and the other is a customized solution that tracks events and provides proactive notifications to their subscriber base if there will be any service interruptions.

    - Day to day responsibilities will include:

    o Evaluate incidents with detailed RCA process that led to specific actions and ongoing improvement.

     

    o Maintain detailed records of events and impacted technical areas to find and act on trends.

     

    o Support outages and events across the enterprise network

     

    o Support internal Remedy application including feature development/enhancement, change requests, work orders, event management, etc.

     

    o Design, code, configure, test, debug, and document system and application programs.

     

    o Assists in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents.

     

    o Reviews functional requirements, analysis and design documents and provides feedback.

     

    o Develops and maintains operational and system level documentation.

     

    o Work in an on-call rotation for one week every seven weeks

     

    The pay rate for this role varies depending on level and years of experience and will range from $75-$80/hour.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 7-10+ years of system engineering experience with strong automation skills

     

    - Linux

     

    - Remedy experience developing/automating within Remedy, not just working with it as an end user

     

    - SQL

     

    - Python

    - Understanding of networking - Java - highly desired null
