    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to join a prestigious law firm in Boston, MA. This firm generates $3 billion in revenue and caters to clients in key hubs of business, finance, technology, and government. The Sr. Data Engineer will be a member of the firms enterprise data solutions team and will be responsible for developing and enhancing the firms core data infrastructure through data validations, transformations, normalizations, reports and extracts, and integration processes that strengthen internal business applications and client reporting functions. This position requires exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration with both technical and non-technical partners. Expertise in Microsoft SQL 2019 stack and experience with REST API, Python, and .NET is required.

    Daily Responsibilities May Include:

    Collaborate with business sponsors, senior management, and Finance and IS teams to understand, document, and propose data solutions.

     

    Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-quality data integrations and real-time data services in support of enterprise applications and reporting.

     

    Actively participate in program development, providing suggestions on improvements to the teams processes and tools.

     

    Maintain and effectively communicate accurate project and task estimates and status.

     

    Mentor junior developers.

     

    This is a full-time position and will be based in Boston, MA in the office 3 days a week, 2 days working remotely.

     

    Compensation

     

    $110,000 to $155,000 per year annual salary.

     

    This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance.

     

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, geographic location, education, and consideration of internal equity.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    At least 7 years of experience in business intelligence and report development (4 years with Microsoft BI Stack).

     

    Proficiency with MS SQL Server 2019 or later and experience building data pipelines using REST API, .NET, and Python.

     

    Experience with TFS or similar work management and coding repositories.

     

    Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills as well as understanding of relational and multi-dimensional database design and architecture.

     

    Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate, take ownership, and contribute to team success.

     

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience. Experience with Profisee, Redgate, Git, and Alteryx null
