    Job Description

    Insight Global's client, one of the worlds largest providers of facility services and solutions, a fortune 500 company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Test Technician(Neta 3 or Neta 4) to join their team in Lanham, MD. This person will be responsible for traveling to client sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data on electrical systems across the DMV, a lot of work in Sterling, Manassas, Leesburg.

    Job Description:

    Performing commissioning/testing at data centers, commercial buildings, 3 letter agencies

     

    Driving directly from their home to the site everyday - Provided a company vehicle, gas card, a laptop, cell phone, company credit card, Home Depot credit card

     

    Shift time - 6am- 2pm. Up to 10-hour days sometimes.

     

    Shifts from 8-10 hours is overtime.

     

    Shifts over 10 hours is double time.

     

    Saturdays are double time.

     

    Sundays are Double time

     

    Holidays are double time

     

    Travel to customer sites for inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and start-up of electrical systems. Maintain, test, repair, and replace electrical equipment like switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformers

     

    Supervise and mentor Trainees, Assistants, and Technicians.

     

    Ensure consistent testing and track project completion.

     

    Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and test cable installations.

     

    Calibrate and test relays, motor control centers, and generator controls.

     

    Commission protection and control systems on high voltage substations.

     

    Sample and interpret insulated fluids.

     

    Conduct Job Hazard Analyses, including arc-flash and shock analyses.

     

    Review and submit timecards, expenses, and project reports. Document test results and complete field reports.

     

    Rotate emergency on-call duty and ensure regulatory compliance.

    Experience testing multiple types of relays, breakers, transformers, resistant testing, test cables, high-voltage switchgear and circuit breakers
