Fort Worth, TX company is seeking a API Management Engineer to join their team for a contract opportunity.
Leverage the latest technology to solve business problems in a collaborative environment at this Fortune 500 transportation giant. Top technical resources are retained on long-term contract engagements.
Responsible for leveraging cutting edge technology to solve business problems by participating in all phases of the development process from inception through transition, advocating the agile process and test-driven development, using object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test reusable objects, and making the codebase better.
Contract Duration: 5 Months
Required Skills & Experience
+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
+ Must be willing to work varying shifts (Day, Night, Split, or weekends)
+ 3+ years Apigee experience
+ Design, develop, configure, and troubleshoot APIs and policies using Apigee Edge
+ Defining overall API architecture/ implementations, integration and deployment of API management platforms and API security and Access control (SAML, Web SSO, SSL/TLS etc)
+ Design API Publishing guidelines, API Product designing and implementation of workflow for API Consumer onboarding on Apigee Developer Portal
+ Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, Encryption/decryption
+ Data Power experience
+ Develop complex designs, leads, abstract concepts, and strategies for DataPower Gateway
+ Implement IBM Integration Bus and deploy message flows to broker instances and execution groups.
+ Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity problems or authentication/authorization with IBM DataPower Gateway & IBM Integration Bus
+ Understand data security, privacy and controls related to file transfers PCI/PII
+ Familiarity with workflow and ITSM tools and ticketing systems
+ Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interface at all levels of the organization
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and perform in a collaborative, team-based environment
+ Basic understanding of server-to-server communication in a large-scale network
Desired Skills & Experience
+ Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
+ Airline Industry experience
+ Knowledge of Windows and Linux

+ Maintenance and Support: Perform regular maintenance and updates to IT systems, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and support end-users.
+ Troubleshooting: Resolve complex technical issues escalated from Level 1 and Level 2 support teams, providing expert-level troubleshooting and problem resolution.
+ Security Management: Implement and manage security measures to protect IT infrastructure from cyber threats and ensure compliance with security policies.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and security specialists, to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT systems.
