    Job Description​

    **The Opportunity:** Saint Luke’s Hospital is seeking an OB Technologist to assist in the delivery of care to the patient experiencing surgical intervention, providing a safe environment in compliance with agency policies and procedures.

    Position Details:

    + Shift: Full-time, days. 3 12-hour shifts per week, 6:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m. Required to work every third weekend.

    Responsibilities:

    + OB Technician within the organizational structure of the Labor and Delivery area assists in delivery of care to the patient experiencing surgical intervention.

    + Primary function is to assist with surgical procedures.

    + The OB Tech provides patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.

    + The OB Tech individualizes and modifies care according to the patients needs.

    + The OB Tech collaborates with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.

    + The OB Tech assumes a multiskilled role performing clinical and clerical functions that serves as an integral member of the primary patient care team.

    Experience:

    + Childbirth & Surgical procedure experience preferred
