About this role:
Commercial Banking Flood Operations is seeking a Commercial Loan Closing Specialist as part of the Commercial Banking Operations Division. The Commercial Loan Closing Specialist will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment, understands FDPA (Flood Disaster Protection Act) regulation, adheres to policy and procedures requirements while putting the customer first.
In this role, you will:
+ Work life of loan flood monitoring events for moderately complex to complex commercial loans.
+ Coordinate all aspects of post close flood monitoring details.
+ Perform customer, loan and regulatory diligence.
+ Accurately evaluate and upload data into the systems of record.
+ Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
+ Review complex loan documents.
+ Coordinate with manager and business partners for more complex items when required.
+ Work collaboratively with Credit and Sales regarding proper procedures and documentation requirements necessary to ensure accuracy with regulatory and enterprise policy requirements in relation to the Flood Disaster Protection Act.
+ Review complex legal documentation, evaluate risks, and identifying procedural modifications.
+ Provide guidance and training to peers.
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
+ Interact with internal customers.
+ Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Required Qualification:
+ 2+ years of Commercial Loan Closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
+ Understanding of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) Guidelines, NFIP (National Flood Insurance Program), FDPA (Flood Disaster Protection Act) Requirements and/or Flood regulations.
+ Experience working in CCM (Credit Bridge Collateral Management)
+ Experience in partnering with multiple business lines.
+ Experience in managing complex pipelines.
+ Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information.
+ Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
+ Sound analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
+ Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to embrace and adapt to change.
+ Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
Job Expectations:
+ Ability to work a hybrid schedule, at least 3 days a week working in office.
+ This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
