Primary Purpose
The Clean Energy Solutions Specialist is responsible for engaging in consultative conversations with potential customers who have inquired about Generac’s backup power products. Provides support by answering questions, addressing concerns, overcoming objections, and encouraging customers to schedule appointments as appropriate.
Major Responsibilities
Inbound Communication:
Answer in-bound pre-sale questions over the phone, email, and web chat regarding Clean Energy, Honeywell, and GRID products. Answer detailed questions regarding Generac products **.**
Customer Education:
Educate consumers on the benefits of having an authorized sales dealer perform an in-home consultation.
Department Standards:
Maintain department expectations, including customer satisfaction, productivity, and adherence to company policies.
Outbound Communication:
Perform outbound calls to confirm program participation. Follow up with potential customers to gather additional information and connect them with a dealer. Re-engage, develop, and nurture relationships via phone and email.
Sales Cycle Management:
Track sales leads throughout their lifecycle, successfully re-initiating the sales cycle with previous potential customers who received a home assessment but did not purchase a product. Identify the root causes of customers not buying and address those issues with product knowledge and the value of Generac products and dealer relationships.
Sales Targets:
Responsible for hitting outbound sales targets by effectively managing and re-engaging sales leads.
Dealer Coordination:
Maintain effective relationships with Generac sales dealers by providing information, customer sales support, and coordination to facilitate buying decisions.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
Certification / License
Work Experience
1-year related experience in a sales, retail and/or marketing role
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
+ Technical Knowledge and Expertise in the Field of Clean Energy Solutions
+ Ability to Interpret Data, Analyze Results and Make Recommendations
+ Problem-solving ability
+ Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, including consumers, dealers, and contractors
+ Proven experience as a sales consultant
+ Excellent communication (verbal & written), negotiation, and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
+ Ability to flex and prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
+ Ability to take initiative and work proactively
+ Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness
+ Flexibility with schedule to account for business coverage and additional hours during storm response
