    A Brazing/Welding Engineer job is available with our client based in Ogden, UT. In this role you will specify and optimize welding and brazing processes and focus on optimizing processes, to ensure repeatability and reducing concessions. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent and a minimum 5 years providing engineering support to a manufacturing environment. Must be a US Citizen.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    * Specify and optimize welding and brazing processes, ensuring they meet required quality standards

    * Focusing on optimizing processes, to ensure repeatability and reducing concessions.

    * Provide guidance and advice on welding/brazing related issues.

    * Optimize welding processes, while considering factors such as materials, joint design, equipment, and repeatability.

    * Troubleshoot welding problems, analyze weld failures, and identify solutions.

    * Ensure that all welded structures and parts meet specific requirements and standards, including those outlined in client drawings, codes, contracts and requirements.

    * Ensure the safety of welding operation.

    * Monitoring and document processes while creating an action list based on common issues.

    * Collaborate and engage with cross functional project teams focused on new product introduction, continuous improvement, and nonconformance resolution.

    * Develop manufacturing processes and tools to ensure products and services provided meet all contractual, program, design, and quality requirements.

    * Participate in design, manufacturing, and test documentation reviews to ensure applicable contract, program, design, and quality requirements are met.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    * Bachelor"s degree in engineering, or equivalent

    * Familiarity and experience with extremely complex fabricated assemblies and fixturing.

    * Experience with forming die design.

    * Experience with welding and distortion variable controls.

    * Strong understanding of materials science and engineering principles, including the behavior of metals under stress.

    * Experience with brazing and soldering processes

    * Experience and knowledge of the design, development, and maintenance of welded structures and components.

    * Experience with reviewing, troubleshooting, improving and documenting processes, with the ability to identify issues causing common defects and concessions.

    * Proficient with computer systems and basic software, experience with Solid Works.

    * Proficient at reading, analyzing and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards.

    * Minimum 5 years providing engineering support to a manufacturing environment.

    * Excellent written and verbal communication.

    * Experience working in aerospace industry

    * Lean and six sigma experience/knowledge
