Prince Telecom is currently hiring full-time Fiber Optic Field Technicians in the Charlotte, NC area!

We provide paid training, full benefits & a company vehicle!

Pay: $16 - $22/hr

+ Job Type: Full-Time

What you’ll do…

+ Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, troubleshoot and repair fiber optic systems.

+ Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.

+ Install, setup and configure residential networking equipment such as ONT’s, routers and switches.

+ Perform testing on company issued devices and customer devices.

+ Attempt to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.

+ Complete paperwork accurately, and report/record work order status updates.

+ Perform customer service duties by:

+ + Greeting and interacting with customers in a professional courteous manner, including when responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns;

+ Reviewing all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement;

+ Educating the customer regarding product and service usage.

Who we are looking for…

+ Minimum 18 years old

+ Valid U.S. driver's license (required)

+ Authorized to work in the United States for this company without sponsorship

+ Must live within 60 miles of Charlotte, NC.

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent

+ Comfortable working in tight spaces (such as crawl spaces or house attics)

+ Comfortable working in inclement weather conditions

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

+ Effective communication skills

+ Able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends, as needed

+ Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80lbs.
