*Description*
*Summary:*
Working in conjunction with the Revenue cycle leadership, the Director of Development, Technology, and Innovation, is responsible for integrating operational processes into system development and innovation. Also integral for maintaining top quartile operational functions, workflow redesign, and enhanced technical advancements. Expertise is demonstrated via strong technical skills across systems, system development and technical design and/or architecture. This includes assisting with strategic planning and project management, with Revenue Cycle leadership, Information Technology leadership and the office of Compliance. This position governs support for the Cerner Hospital and physician Billing modules and other Revenue cycle systems such as but not limit to; VisiQuate application for all Nuvance Health entities. This role will also direct, manage and monitor the insourcing and AR management of the NY reference lab business. ,
*Responsibilities:*
Essential Responsibilities ;
* Contribute to the overall direction of Revenue Cycle while maintaining Nuvance commitment to top quartile performance.
* Assist in developing annual objectives/goals for the Revenue Cycle
* Assist the Revenue Cycle leadership in coaching department managers in staff support and development to ensure standardization of commitment to excellence.
* Work collaborative with Revenue Cycle leadership to develop operating procedures that maximizes the effectiveness of the staff to meet the needs of the department.
* Work cooperatively with the Revenue Cycle leadership to ensure all policy and producers are progressive with expeditious results.
* Work Collaboratively with all Revenue Cycle customers to ensure their needs are met
* Evaluate monthly the departments performance and work with the Revenue Cycle and Non- Revenue Cycle teams to address opportunities to secure successes.
* Continually monitor the regulatory environment to ensure that evolving reimbursement structures are evaluated, and necessary changes are made.
* Collaborate with IT/Business leadership in evolving vision for end-user solutions and technologies to drive efficiency and productivity.
* Works with senior leadership on strategic improvement of efficiency though current systems and processes as well as including clinical areas to reach top decile top quartile achievements. This includes strategic initiatives around software to enhance charge capture, cash collections, or AR maintenance
* Works with Revenue Cycle leaders to conducts internal and external benchmarking regarding the Revenue Cycle operational improvements to gain efficiencies through established KPIs.
* Works collaboratively with Human Resource enrichment team to develop Revenue Cycle management to perform and manage at the highest levels.
* Demonstrates expertise and leadership in advanced technical knowledge across systems, which includes Cerner Millenium, Soarian Financials, VisiQuate and external vendor system interface functional knowledge.
* Expert in healthcare information technology and/or functional knowledge. Expertise may be demonstrated via strong technical skills across systems, system development and technical design or architecture. Expertise may be demonstrated via strong business knowledge across departments, business processes, operations knowledge, or specialized skills (e.g., clinical knowledge, senior technical knowledge/specialty).
* Strong working knowledge of departments business processes to ensures key systems support functions, registration functions, clinical functions, revenue Integrity functions.
* Develops/revises vendor technology solutions based upon compliant Revenue Cycle standards within the application specific software product.
* Develops and/or installs solutions (data bases, technical architecture, vendor upgrades).
* Strong understanding of interrelationships and interdependencies of system across the enterprise. Ability to recognize and proactively involve others, both internal and external, in department initiatives.
* Translate payor requirements into future state processes and application configurations. ;
* Robust expertise in integrated departmental testing to guarantee appropriate system application with expected results.
* Monitor applications and provide support. Troubleshoot and recommend system programming as needed. Implement real time and ad hoc system monitoring tools to identify trends and establish corrective action as needed.
* Provide required business and/or technical support for both project and production related activities.
* Identify Revenue Cycle initiatives, where acting as project management, will assist in task completion milestones, meeting implementation dates and communicate risks to Revenue Cycle management.
* Project lead on new Revenue Cycle systems implementations.
* Assists Revenue Cycle Leadership in the evaluation, selection, and application of new information technologies to improve process accuracy, efficient workflow, and increased staff productivity.
* Determine all technical specifications or requests prior to them being implemented to ensure accuracy and preserving data integrity.
* Manages relations with payors and providers to maximize reimbursement rates minimize denials and suggest technology enhancements.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Demonstrates regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
* Direct, manage and monitor the west outsource lab Account Receivable team to ensure timely billing and collections.
* Work collaboratively with lab operations to ensure timely issue resolution
* Ensure that all lab billing regulation and payor polices are current and Cerner is updated for appropriate billing.
* Direct the insourcing of the low dollar accounts receivable
* Direct the billing, follow up and account resolution low dollar account receivable staff.
* Maintains & Models Nuvance Health values. 37. Performs other duties as required.
*Requirements:*
* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
* 7+ Years direct experience in specific area
* Require 3-5 Previous Management/Leadership experience
