Summary : Serves as the senior collateral risk analyst with responsibility for daily departmental workflow and oversight for the department’s vendor management program.
Job Responsibilities:
Vendor Management - Operations/Workflow
+ For valuation and environmental projects, reviews and analyzes the loan specifications, completes supplemental independent research as needed. Develops complex RFPs in the vendor management systems. Coordinates the management of RFP distribution and responses, including portfolio projects, and the engagement process.
+ Works with the departmental leader to oversee external vendors that provide outsourced review services and original valuation and environmental reports development. Tracks and reports assignment status; identifies the appropriate professional and assigns completed reports for review.
+ Identifies and selects the appropriate vendor for and orders supplemental services including construction, insurance, and commercial site visit inspections. Builds assignment-specific scope of work and other requirements as needed.
+ For complex assignments, develops the bank’s response, including disputes, to internal customer and vendor inquiries, with review and oversite by departmental leadership.
+ As part of the Vendor Management Program, works with departmental leadership to oversee the monitoring and documenting of the performance of appraisers, environmental professionals, and other vendors compliance with bank policy and departmental procedure; ensures the meeting of service level standards.
+ Responsible for the department's accounts payable processes including validating vendor invoices consistent with bank accounting policies, using the workflow and document management systems. Assists with cost center allocation.
+ Processes completed appraisal reviews, tracks reviewer quality and updates departmental databases and workflow tools to document vendor performance.
+ Generally, acts as a liaison between the Collateral Risk Department and retail, commercial lending, credit, credit risk review, and special assets areas to resolve appraisal and environmental issues, while maintaining independence from lending areas.
Vendor Management - Policy, Procedure, & Monitoring
+ Develops and provides period reporting on vendor performance for use in periodic vendor reviews leveraging departmental workflow tools and reporting options.
+ Analyzes departmental vendor performance reporting, with a focus on process improvement. Assist with supplemental reporting and presentations as needed.
+ Assists in the development and delivery of training and roundtable meetings and trainings both internal and external.
+ Stays current on and takes education courses focused on vendor management to facilitate the implementation of best practices.
Technology
+ Monitors changes in industry technology for work-flow. Shares ideas and new concepts with departmental leadership.
+ Serves as a project lead in the selection process of new technology tools; assists with overall project management.
+ Works with the department leadership and other departments, including IT and Risk, to implement technology in use by the commercial area of department.
Management, Direction, & Productivity
+ Facilitates a culture that maximizes retention.
+ Provides feedback and potential enhancements to departmental process or strategy.
+ Assists with preparing production reports overall and on an individual level.
Other
+ Performs other job-related duties and tasks as may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
+ At least 2 years related experience.
+ Apprentice (Appraisal) Permit or Vendor Manager Certification preferred.
+ Professional Designation (ex: MAI, ASA, MRICS) preferred.
+ Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
