Overview
The Senior Director of Data & Analytics will lead and cultivate data-driven decision-making efforts and drive strategic insights across the organization. This involves developing and communicating a comprehensive business intelligence strategy aligned with the company's objectives, incorporating AI-driven solutions to enhance data analysis, predictive capabilities, and data transformation.
The role also requires collaborating with senior leadership to continuously identify key business questions and opportunities that can be addressed through AI, machine learning models, and effective data transformation techniques, and refining and improving our dashboards, scorecards and reports.
The successful candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen to shape the future of Topgolf’s data and analytics initiatives, with a particular focus on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and data transformation processes.
Responsibilities
+ **Develop and communicate a comprehensive business intelligence strategy** aligned with the company's objectives, incorporating AI-driven solutions to enhance data analysis, predictive capabilities, and data transformation.
+ **Collaborate with senior leadership** to identify key business questions and opportunities that can be addressed through AI, machine learning models, and effective data transformation techniques.
+ **Lead and mentor a team** of business analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and AI specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Provide guidance and support to ensure the team delivers high-quality insights and solutions to various stakeholders.
+ **Oversee the development and maintenance of data governance policies** , ensuring data quality, consistency, and security, while integrating AI tools for automated data cleaning, anomaly detection, and transformation.
+ **Drive the creation of advanced analytical models, dashboards, and reports** that provide actionable insights to different departments, leveraging AI for enhanced data visualization, interpretation, and transformation.
+ **Evaluate and implement cutting-edge business intelligence tools, technologies, and platforms** , including AI and machine learning frameworks, to enhance data analysis and transformation capabilities.
+ **Ensure the integration of data from diverse sources** , both internal and external, for a holistic view of the business landscape, utilizing AI for data fusion, synthesis, and transformation.
+ **Collaborate closely with department heads and cross-functional teams** to understand their data needs and support their decision-making processes, using AI to provide predictive analytics, personalized recommendations, and effective data transformation.
+ **Translate complex data findings into easily understandable insights and recommendations** for non-technical stakeholders, utilizing AI-driven natural language processing (NLP) tools and data transformation techniques.
+ **Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs)** to measure the effectiveness and impact of business intelligence initiatives, incorporating AI metrics to assess model performance, accuracy, and data transformation efficiency.
+ **Regularly assess the performance of analytics solutions** , identifying areas for improvement and optimization, with a focus on AI model refinement, retraining, and data transformation processes.
+ **Stay current with industry trends and best practices** in business intelligence, data analysis, data visualization, AI technologies, and data transformation. Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the business intelligence function.
Qualifications
+ **Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field** ; advanced degrees preferred.
+ **10+ years of proven experience** in business intelligence, data analytics, or related roles, with progressively increasing responsibilities.
+ **Advanced knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes** ; experience with AI and machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
+ **5+ years of experience in collaborating with C-level executives and department heads** .
+ **Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations** related to data privacy and security, including AI ethics and governance.
+ **Strong leadership skills** with a track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams, including AI specialists.
+ **Expertise in data visualization, analytics tools (e.g., QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI)** , and data warehousing concepts; experience with AI-driven analytics platforms and data transformation techniques.
+ **Exceptional communication and presentation skills** , with the ability to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders, including AI-driven insights and data transformation results.
+ **Strategic thinker** with the ability to align data initiatives with broader business goals, leveraging AI and data transformation for strategic advantage.
+ Must be able to work onsite 4 days per week in Dallas Office
